ANCESTORS and ANGELS

Most nights I remind my daughter while I pray, “Your ancestors and angels will watch over you while you sleep.” She can’t possibly yet understand the rich array of experiences I have had navigating the Spirit world, but she is comforted by the message. She knows Grandma Diana is with us, as I tell her repeatedly what Mom would want her to know. And her adorable little face mirrors her back to me; she looks like her ancestor, the one we have all grieved the most intimately. She died too young.

I find myself wanting to explain to her already the many realms of Spirit, and the myriad beings who appear to reside there. But she is only 3, and not yet grasping the reason to inquire about a world other than this one, which is still so new and nuanced to her. She’s barely figuring it all out, after all. Maybe she remembers the other one better than I do.

I tell my clients jokingly that I only call in “the big guns” — the angels, when I really need them. But truly, our access is not limited to the moments when a great need arises, or when we feel darkness we don’t know how to handle. That’s just what most of us wait for before we do something so basic that is, to ask for help.

Ancestors are even more available to us. I feel them “waiting in the wings,” waiting to be called into action, eager to assist, but honoring the free will that demands our request. I find that ancestors take joy in helping with the practical things, the things they would have done for us as family if they were still here. Sometimes they want to do things they didn’t (or couldn’t) do in the life we remember, because they were in turmoil or depression or managing addiction.

I helped someone cross over tonight — something I am astounded to say I have done many times now. It never ceases to amaze me how thin the veil is between worlds, especially this time of year. Sometimes it feels like it’s barely there. What keeps us from calling on the support of those beings who sit just beyond this primary dream’s distraction? Usually fear of the unknown is all. But it’s so simple to make a natural relationship with our ancestors the world of the known. We just need practice; as with all things, we have to use a muscle to give it strength. There truly is no separation. We are not the body, although we inhabit one temporarily. Our ancestors have already shed its limits.

Tonight, call on your angels or ancestors for big problems or small. Don’t wait until you feel desperate for answers. Build a relationship altar now. Make offerings to those who have given you everything, making life possible for you. Feed your experience with them with photographs and mementos. Strengthen the bond of trust in their ability to guide you, and help you navigate life — a school from which they’ve already graduated. Let them be your tutors. Sign up for their course in healthy living and balanced relationships. Lend them an ear to hear their wisdom. Ancestors in the Light are more than willing to respond when you wake up to their presence, and ask for help. Otherwise, they won’t interfere. That’s the law.

Asking is the answer.

GRATITUDE and ABUNDANCE

Lammas is the time of the Great Harvest. This Gate marks the midpoint between Summer Solstice and the Autumnal Equinox. It is a time to give honor to what is nourishing us and what has come to fruition — a time to gather resources and glean all the wisdom and insight that we need. Honoring natural cycles in this way, we fortify ourselves for the coming months of winter, and focus on manifesting abundance to rejuvenate ourselves and our families beyond the long days of summer.

How can we make sacred what we have? By offering Greetings and Thanks to all things…

GREETING with openness and a sensitive heart all people, experiences and things we encounter.

THANKS and offerings to all forms of all things for what they bring or mirror into our sacred dream.

By instilling this pattern of gratitude, we create the space to lovingly receive and lovingly give with right relationship, honor and reciprocity.

What do we really want? Now that’s the real question…

High in the Andes, communing with the mountains’ teacher spirits, I perceived the three layers of the Incan cosmos…

the Snake, the Puma and the Condor.

I was shown through feeling and seeing the primary traits of each animal’s medicine story. It was made clear that human beings only operate on the two lower levels – the snake and the puma – and that all that happens within the physical as a result of human activity happens within these layers.

The Snake is the energy that pursues us to transform – to awaken, to grow, to change and to accomplish – anything we take on in the world of human activity. It, like the energy of the kundalini in the East, is that which rides us to accomplish and actualize the best of this human experience.

The Puma is a graduated stage of human awareness where certain people who have seen through the dream of illusion (the world of the snake), weave and pattern the archetypes or primary roles of all humans. The puma gathers from all traditions and narratives, and offers new constructs, new ideas and directions, and presents them into the mass reality dream with precision, based on the knowing that comes from seeing the whole of physical reality as it is. Puma people are highly rare, and walk alone like a panther in the night to discover and map the territory of human consciousness, to rehearse scenarios, to perceive from every angle before taking action because they deeply understand the laws of cause and effect.

The Condor exists only within the Spirit realms, and being part of the Great Mystery, cannot be fully understood by the human mind. With a sweep of his/her wing, she annihilates worlds or creates them anew. Whole lines of thought, fields of awareness, species, beliefs or physical constructs can be dissolved into the ocean of non-form in an instant by those Higher Powers that govern the life cycles on this planet, or within the Earth plane.

I saw the Snake striking at human beings repeatedly to shift them out of complacence, false beliefs, stubbornness or loathing. Each time the snake would strike I could feel the ripple generated by this change of energetic orientation. It stimulated human beings to awaken and move beyond whatever world of form they were presently trapped in. It was relentless and humans generally cursed the impetus as the evil rather than seeing the confines. I was made aware that this is the level on which the vast majority of human beings are operating, waiting for the next stimulus to make them change.

The Puma in contrast does not accept any confines and insisted in the dream on roaming all its territory, the vast realms within worlds of what is created in form. Its Spirit was free and unfettered, but often experienced the loneliness of roaming as a solitary weaver of the dream. In retracing the boundary lines of all fields of awareness, covering all available territory, the puma carries the possibility of mastering the dream, and of choosing with clarity where to contribute specifically. Its job in a way is to weave the dream for others, into archetypal forms that assist the collective and its evolutionary trajectory. I was shown that there are maybe 300 of these people on the Earth at any given time. Assuming the role of the puma is not a fixed reality but a transitional one based on our present life experience, awareness and availability to assist. The puma holds together the loose threads of human experience to give them the meaning or context that writes our collective story.

I was shown the Condor’s role as a sweeper, a dissolver, an annihilator of human experience and struggle when one cycle has reached its pinnacle, or the fullness of what it has to offer. A new dream is then laid down by the condor, swept into existence from the remains of the old and revived with a new breath of life and awareness. This great bird represents the realm of Spirit which we cannot fully understand, because we do not yet have enough information or capacity to make decisions that affect the whole on this level. We have the limits of form and the growth curve of self-mastery to contend with as primary lessons, before we can understand the creation and destruction of cycles. The condor represents the capacity of humans to achieve a fully conscious or enlightened state, existing within the harmonious balance of wisdom and bliss, between form and non-form, but at present we strive for form, and thus cannot yet appreciate a view of the appropriate ending of form and substance. The condor beings are primordial energies of enlightened activity, perceived by humans to be gods or goddesses, that understand universal laws, and thus have the power to set things in motion through their realized nature. By fully embracing their non-existence in the realm of substance, they can see through the purer, unfiltered lens of Spirit essence. The condor represents what will always be seen by humans to be a Great Mystery, until we shed our present forms and enter the land of Spirit.

It is time to come together – to set aside separation and reach out, creating a unified field to benefit all. We have each learned many lessons and picked up valuable tools for our medicine baskets during the months and years before this present time. Now we are being called to join hands in harmony – to effect a vibrational shift in our collective field. We are working from many directions and paths, orientations and mindsets, but many have learned that energy is neutral, and that the difference is made in how we use it. The choice point is before us now again – perpetually the story of choosing harm or choosing the good. We have free will to direct the nature of what is toward the benefit of others or for personal agendas. Each time we choose the highest good, for all to be in right relationship – for fair and equal exchange, reciprocity, equilibrium and balance – we choose what maintains the delicate cycle of inter-relationship we have here on Earth. This plane exists within a certain field of plenty, but not unlimited resources – abundance, but not greed, can be the reality of our physical experience.

This time we live in requires each of us to step into the fullness of what we are – as individuals, as family members, as citizens, and for us – as healers to our wider community. There is no time but now, yet the thread we pull here ripples in many directions. This choice point matters. We can choose separation, suspicion and isolated expression, or we can choose to liberate ourselves into a wider state of Grace. Many are available to assist us along this journey, and many have gone before you with tools that may cause your path to open into the flower of awareness, the positive nature of manifestation, and the infinite capacity you have to freely express your true self into this material world. Some are called to be students, apprentices, learning new stages of growth and constructive development at this time. Some are called to be elders, to show up to mentor, to divine the truth as protection for others, to minister healing and encourage the transformation cycles to continue. You know which you are in this moment, and you know how Spirit is calling you to serve.

Many have seen that your area is drawing in people and energy; it is swirling with a magnetism that will cause great change in the fabric of your community. Choose now not to hide, but to be available. Choose to experience the joy of mutual benefit and the blessing of utilizing your gifts for the sake of all beings – here where you are, and within the resonance of our wider Earth family. This season of change will build momentum in one of two directions: toward greater harmony or into greater division. Each micro-culture has its own decisions to make about how it will contribute in the coming days, but we all have a unique opportunity to attain a higher resonance of healed, balanced, abundant, joyous energetic experience if we choose to support each other consciously and in honor.
